Sneak Peek: Lexington Addition Expands Kitchen and Backyard Vistas

To achieve the homeowners goal of updating and expanding their Lexington kitchen to include a long-desired, large professional range, a small one-story addition was added to the rear of their 1990s Colonial-style home. Existing windows were replaced with sliding French doors to the deck and additional windows were added along the rear wall giving the family the extensive views and access to the backyard they desired.

White cabinetry by Showplace, new appliances, countertops, flooring and lighting make the new kitchen a striking contrast to the old one. One of the added features is a wine bar with a prep sink. The island countertop is Super White Fantasy granite with room for seating. Perimeter countertops and wine bar area are Antique Brown Leathered granite.There are SubZero refrigerator drawers and a Wolf microwave drawer for added convenience. The flooring is brown tile that looks like wood.
