Polished Perfection

Feinmann transformed this once cramped, disconnected, first-floor living space into a grand contemporary kitchen with room for dining, cooking, and entertaining. The homeowners specifically wanted to create a connected and modern kitchen with great lighting, room for two cooks, and more counter and storage space.

Our solution was to bump out their home’s side entrance and remove the walls between their kitchen, family, and sunroom. These changes allowed us to create a space with open site lines and an entire wall of windows that offers ample natural light and a full view of the back yard.

The kitchen features dual islands and sinks and lots of counter space to make it easy to cook and entertain. The island and bottom perimeter cabinets are from the Linea line by Composit, which are handle-free and finished in a Matt Rosewood Veneer to create a minimal and modern feel. The top perimeter cabinets are also from the Linea line by Composit but finished in a Glossy Lacquered White. For the countertops, we used stainless steel on the perimeter, and CS Frosty Carrina on the islands, which added to the kitchen’s contemporary style. We finished the backsplash in an Aura Gold Porcelain tile and the floors in a Harlem Caliza Porcelain tile, that are both made by Porcelanosa.

Upon entering the kitchen, there’s a wall with shelving and a gas fireplace surrounded by Deli Ash colored tile to create a warm and inviting space. Continuing past the fireplace is an open sitting area with both dining and lounge seating and floors finished in darker tile to distinguish it from the kitchen.
