A Suite Above

Feinmann thoughtfully designed and built a multi-use primary attic suite that’s perfect for homeowners to use while accommodating guests. The results deliver a beautiful bedroom, office, bathroom, walk-in closet, and storage with openness, separation, and light.

First, we designed an open-concept floor plan that creates excitement, curiosity, and movement as you walk through the space. The design also respects the unique site lines and sloped roof.

We then built a bedroom with a semi-partition to create privacy while sleeping. This partition includes pass-through windows with shelving to add an open feel. The angled endpoint gives the space character and intimacy. Additionally, we placed two skylights above the bed to maximize natural light. Across from the bedroom, we added an angled wall for a walk-in closet with sliding pocket doors.

Next, we designed a dedicated office area with skylights to bring in views of greenery and the outdoors inside. Careful planning and design went into incorporating all-natural wood and weight-bearing floating shelves for their plants.

Lastly, the bathroom blends contemporary design with modern elements and earth tones, giving it a spa-like feel. It features a custom vanity, extended counter space, ample storage, a walk-in shower, and frameless cabinet doors in a natural finish. The final touch is a frosted glass panel door that allows privacy and filters in light.
