Amplifying the concept of personal luxury, a couple retained Feinmann to design and remodel two outdated bathrooms into separate his and her luxury bathroom spaces that are completely tailored to each of their personal styles and needs. This renovation, one of many done to the 1906 Historical Victorian Eclectic home over the years, brought the two-family baths to a new level of 21st-century luxury. The project also integrated built-in cabinetry into the master bedroom.
Using additional space from the bordering bedroom, we expanded the footprint of this bathroom by 2ft. Blending both modern and traditional, the “her” bathroom features a threshold-free shower with glass doors and a clean-lined, double vanity and storage cabinet painted in Dorian Gray. Complimenting the vanity, Carrera stone tile is used throughout with a staggered brick pattern on the floor, stacked pattern on the shower walls, and meshed mosaic on the shower floor. Finishing off this space is a beautiful skylight that allows for expansive natural light.
Using the existing cedar closet, we expanded this bathroom by 2ft which made a dramatic difference to the functionality of the space. The “his” bathroom has a more contemporary feel highlighted with an English Walnut floating vanity with double sinks and single-lever, platinum matte faucets. Continuing throughout the space is a threshold-free shower with glass doors and same Carrara stone tile with a staggered brick pattern on the floor, stacked pattern on the shower walls, and a basket weave meshed mosaic on the floor. Finishing off this space are two enormous skylights with one in the shower allowing uninhibited natural light from above without sacrificing privacy.
Master Bedroom Built-ins
We updated the master bedroom with beautiful built-ins to balance the 2ft we took to add to the “Her” bathroom. The new built-ins also conceal storage of office equipment that was previously located on an open desk.
Our team, including Tammy, Lori, and Phil, was phenomenal. They were attentive to details, listened to our needs, had great ideas and proactively resolved any issue or problem that came up. Overall, we felt true collaboration and ownership in our project. We expect to do additional projects with Feinmann and will be asking to have the same team assigned to us.
