30 Years of Creating Smart, Beautiful Spaces

We want to express our gratitude to our fabulous clients – more than 640 of them over 30 years and more than 1200 projects. We celebrate many accomplishments including more than 80 awards and honors.

1987

  • Established as Feinmann Builders at 8 Lee Street, Somerville, MA. First three projects are a living/dining room addition, a kitchen and rear vestibule renovation and an addition with renovations to the existing bathroom and kitchen.

1989

  • New home, new office…Feinmann Builders moves to 150 Gray Street in Arlington, MA. Joins Business Networks, a national peer group of remodelers.

1991

  • Peter Feinmann receives his “CR” designation through NARI – Certified Remodeler.
  • Feinmann Remodeling, Inc. incorporates (FRI). Creates new logo.

1992

  • FRI was chosen by Remodeling Magazine as one of the “Big 50 Remodelers” in the U.S.
  • FRI becomes one of the first design/build firms in New England.

1993

  • Tammy Russo and Chris Gonzalez hired. Both still work for us.

1998

  • FRI moves to Mass Ave.
  • AnD Bui hired. He still works for Feinmann, Inc.

1999

  • Feinmann hires first staff architect, John Mayaan.
  • FRI earns a Regional NARI Award for a Residential Historic Renovation in Newton.

2001

  • Barney Maier hired as staff architect. He still works for us.

2003

  • Feinmann wins a PRISM Award from BRAGB.
  • Feinmann wins Chrysalis Award for Exterior Renovation.
  • Feinmann named one of the 101 Best Companies to Work for by Professional Remodeler and Professional Builder magazines.

2005

  • Feinmann Remodeling Inc. is renamed Feinmann, Inc.
  • Feinmann wins Chrysalis Award for Best Kitchen Renovation over $100,000.

2007

  • Eric Lennan joins the Feinmann staff and still works with us.
  • Feinmann earned 2007 Remodeling Design Merit Award by Remodeling Magazine.
  • Feinmann wins a Gold PRISM Award from BRAGB for a Lexington renovation.

2008

  • Feinmann moves to 27 Muzzey Street in Lexington.
  • Kevin Hodgkins joins the Feinmann staff and still works with us.
  • Peter Feinmann recognized by North Bennet Street School with a Distinguished Alumni Award.

2011

  • Feinmann earns second consecutive GuildMaster award from Guild Quality.
  • Feinmann wins a two PRISM Awards from BRAGB.
  • Feinmann earns a Regional NARI Award.
  • As Feinmann community involvement, staff renovates 36 affordable housing units in Arlington for the Housing Corporation of Arlington (HCA). Peter was a consultant on weatherizing affordable housing units in Arlington.

2012

  • Feinmann celebrates our 25th anniversary! 25 clients graciously permit us to place signs on their lawns for several weeks.
  • The Feinmann staff grows again with the addition of Jean Ducott, Kyle Dube and Cheryl Savit, all of whom still work with us.
  • Feinmann staff participates in Habitat for Humanity project in Lawrence as part of Builders Blitz.

2014

  • Feinmann staff grows again with the addition of David Ramirez, Elvin Zayas-Lai and Kris Beder.
  • Feinmann earns Best of Houzz Awards for Design and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Feinmann named a Market Leader by Professional Remodeler Magazine, featured in an issue.
  • Feinmann participates in North Bennet Street School Evening of Traditional Craft.
  • Feinmann spearheads backpack drive for Compassforkids.org to help homeless parents who have gone back to college.

2015

  • Feinmann staff grows again with Pepi Colarullo, Tom Harden, Ryan Pirro & Dave Blanchard.
  • Feinmann earns a National NARI Award for Historical Renovation/Restoration for a project in Cambridge.
  • Feinmann participates in Habitat for Humanity Project in Lawrence at the Bixby Building.

2016

  • Feinmann staff grows again with Lauren Audette and Phil Blumberg.
  • Feinmann wins a GOLD EM NARI CotY Award for a Lexington kitchen renovation.
  • Eastern Massachusetts NARI CotY Customer Service Award.

2017

  • Feinmann celebrates 30 years transforming the way people live in their homes!
  • Feinmann staff grows again with the addition of Lori Pettine, John Vining and Greg Lehman.
